The most common thing amoung teenagers pursue is love. When I was young like 17 years old around, I had a lot of fun with listening music with love theme. It made up a feel that love is a such complicated thing that either can make people cry or make people smile. The singer impresses me a lot is Fish Leong, or Liang Jing Ru in Chinese pinyin. I have been listening toher song for more than 8 years around. She looks ordinary and may be able to hide in crowed people, but her voice and her song make me feel strong when I meet some matters regarding to the theme, love.
Miss. Leong was born in Malaysia. Her family has a Chinese background that speaks Cantonese. Her original English name is Jasmine. Due to the pronounciation of cantonese, a lot of her funs call her fish. Thus, she changed her English to Fish.
She was found by a song competion. A famous Chinese producer, Li ZongSheng, picked her up and bring her to Taipei and practice her. The process of practice is stressful, which result in dislike toward music from Fish Leong. Then, she takes a two years break and then release her new album. A song called courage from the album got famous all over whole chinese music industry.
Here is the song‘s meaning.
Courage
Finally, I have made this decision
I do not mind others’ saying
If you recognise my love
I am willing to go to anywhere where you go to
I know everything is not easy
My heart keeps pursuding myself
The only thing I am afraid of is your sudden giving up
Love needs courage to face with rumours.
If you show me your eyes to be substantial being with me
Our love is meaningful
We really need courage to trust we can get together
No matter how crowded of this world
I can feel my hands holding your love
If my bad temper hurt you
Could you remind me gently
I am such a hot temper girl because I am afraid of miss you out
Love needs courage to face with rumours.
If you show me your eyes to be substantial being with me
Our love is meaningful
We really need courage to trust we can get together
