Elvis Presely


Born in the 8th January 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi and has a twin brother Jessie Garon who was stillborn 35 minutes before him leaving Elvis to grew up as an only child till his death at 16th August 1977 from cardiac arrhythmia at the age 42 due to prescription drug abuse.

Presley's first RCA single "Heartbreak Hotel" released in 1956 became his number 1 hit. With a voice and style that united with his wide range of musical influences that lead to his chart topping-records, he became the leading star of rock and roll or known as "King of rock and roll" as today.

In 24th the March in 1958 when he was 23, he joined in the US army as a private at Fort Chaffee where he met Priscilla Beaulieu in Friedberg, who later became his wife. He spend about 2 years in the army and at the same time his mother pass away from diagnosed with hepatitis that worsen leading to her heart failure.

His first album debuted in 27th January in 1956 dubbed "Heartbreak Hotel" became one of the top Billboard's Top 100 chart and was the best single in 1956 for 7 weeks and was ranked number 1 in the Country and Western chart.
